February 2012 - Week 4

This week started with a Mardi Gras celebration! I let Andrew pick out a cake mix so we could make cupcakes, reason being, mommy is giving up sweets for Lent. We endulged in a few to many sweets but it was a lot of fun!

Later in the week Walter and I went to a memorial service, so Grandad came over to play with the boys!

Andrew also had his last ski lesson. He did a great job and really enjoyed it! Here is a little video of his last day!

Grandma came up from Salt Lake for a quick last minute weekend trip so Walter and I could go to a friends 30th birthday! On Saturday Walt and Andrew went up skiing, so I took Aiden to get a much needed haircut!

February 2012 - Week 2

This week started with a much needed haircut for Andrew! His hair was so long it was clear past his ears. We continued with ski lessons this week and Andrew had a blast, I got to go up this week to take some more pictures, but the fog rolled in before I could get to many shots. Grandma was here this week too so we had a little extra help around the house.
Saturday Grandma and I took the boys to Build-a-Bear for the first time as a little Valentines Day treat! They loved it and have great new friends for their beds.

Febuary 2012 - Week 1

This week turned out to very busy. We started off the week at the indoor playground where the kids love to run around and climb. Aiden unfortunately took a fall to the face, he took it like a champ though!

Andrew started his ski lessons FINALLY on Thursday. Walt took him up for a little boy time and they had so much fun! Andrew had a great time and he said he would like to go everyday! We also had Eli's 3rd birthday party after skiing. It was a firetruck party and sadly Andrew missed the trip to the firestation, but Aiden loved it. After the firestation there was pizza and treats at eli's house.

Saturday was movie night, we watched The Little Mermaid on loan from Nana.

It was Super Bowl Sunday so we headed to our friends house (the Cross'). I was super excited because I had so new recipes that I had wanted try (southwestern eggrolls and pizza popovers) and they were deliscious! The boys ran around and played while daddy watched the game, I just ate too much!

The week had a sad note as well, Micron's CEO Steve Appleton died on February 3 in a plane crash at the Boise Airport. He was a great leader (and someone Walter really looked up to) and we hope that Micron can carry on strong in his honor! We were suppose to be headed to Scottsdale, AZ for Micron's investor conference next Wednesday, but with Steve's passing the conference has been for all intensive purposes canceled so we will be home instead.

Aiden 18 months

Aiden is 18 months now and full of energy! He is a skinny litte guy just like his momma was at this age. At his chech-up he weigh in at a wopping 20lb 12oz (7%) he hit a growth spurt with height and is now 32" (49%), his head still comes in at 98%. He is talking quite a bit, although he only has about 8 words( hi, mommy, daddy, ball, no). Aiden has the funniest way of expressing himself without words. He likes to make up "signs" for things, and he quite good at it, when he wants a drink for example he swishes his mouth around. Aiden is still very interested in music and always wants to have it on so he can dance. More recently he has taken up a serious interest in basketball, he is always asking to watch it on the television and trying to shoot hoops all around the house.
